Seattle's voice in hip-hop, Macklemore brings up an uncomfortable reality in his latest version of 'OtherSide.' He throws caution to hip-hop royalty (influences and otherwise), blaming it on the Drank (prescription cough syrup, mixed with soda, and jolly rancher pieces)
This particular version, remixed by Ryan Lewis, eliminates the original Red Hot Chili Peppers sample, and relies heavily on the hopeful, rainy-day grey vocals of Fences (Seattle Indie SuperHero).
